Since its inception in 2008, RKCAT's Mechanical Engineering diploma program has been a cornerstone of innovation and excellence. Initially designed with an intake capacity of 138 students, the program's popularity and demand led to an expansion to accommodate 120 students, reflecting its significance not only in Odisha but also in neighboring states.

Cutting-Edge Facilities: Anchored by a team of highly qualified faculty members, the department has established state-of-the-art laboratories to provide students with hands-on learning experiences. From Material and Engine Testing to Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machine Labs, from Heat Transfer & Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Labs to Metrology and Computational Labs equipped with 36 computers, our facilities are designed to nurture practical skills and foster innovation.

Global Competitiveness: With a focus on imparting quality education and enhancing students' skills to make them globally competitive, our program prepares graduates to excel in diverse professional environments. Our emphasis on research and hands-on experience ensures that our students are well-prepared to meet the evolving demands of the industry.

Seat Availability and Fee Structure: The department offers a total of 138 seats for the three-year Diploma program, with 120 seats allocated for General category students, 12 seats for EWS (Economically Weaker Section) candidates, and 6 seats for TFW (Tuition Fee Waiver) participants. Additionally, the two-year Diploma lateral entry program offers 13 seats, including 12 for General category students and 1 for EWS candidates. Our fee structure is designed to be inclusive, with General category students contributing 28600 per year, TFW candidates paying 11600 per year, and EWS students benefiting from a subsidized fee of 6600 per year.
